Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work at the heart of the digital delivery of network services. Your focus is primarily on the Software Defined Networking (SDN) domain (±70%), supplemented by an important role within ServiceNow Delivery / Order Management (±30–40%).
You develop and realize end-to-end solutions in which automation, integrations and scalability are central, and contribute directly to the delivery of network and communication products within the B2B chain.

You will be involved in:

• Development of portals and backend systems for SDN services (including SD WAN, SD LAN)
• Building and improving automation pipelines for provisioning and lifecycle management
• Developing APIs, internal services and integrations for chain links and automation, for example based on REST
• Working on resilience, performance and scalability of the platform
• Developing frontend components in React and contributing to portal improvements in combination with Python integration logic

You will play a key role in:

• Realizing end-to-end delivery flows
• Increasing reliability and predictability of automation

In addition to SDN, you will work within ServiceNow on the orchestration of the delivery chain.
You will focus on:

• Developing on and around the ServiceNow platform for order and delivery processes
• Implementing and improving workflows and data solutions
• Integrating systems within the chain (sales, provisioning, invoicing)
• Supporting automated product delivery
• Building solutions for data processing, workflow design, and hardware/product administration within ServiceNow

Requirements

• HBO/WO working and thinking level (IT/engineering)
• ≥ 3–5 years of experience as a software engineer in complex environments
• Strong experience with:
  • TypeScript
  • ReactJS
  • NestJS
  • Python
  • APIs and integrations (REST)
  • Object-oriented design en design patterns
  • Data modelling, relational databases and preferably SQL

• Experience in developing reliable, highly available and scalable software and being able to apply the right design choices in an enterprise environment
• Strong in retrieving requirements, analyzing complex chains and translating them into feasible solutions

• Experience with ServiceNow development
• Affinity with SDN / network domain
• Basic knowledge of computer networking, such as application layer protocols and routing
• Experience with or strong affinity for ServiceNow development and workflow development within telecom or enterprise environments
• Experience with:
  • CI/CD, testautomatisering, Agile/DevOps en Test Driven Development binnen
  • Data modeling, class diagrams, relational databases and SQL
  • API development, integrations, Python, Node.js, NPM and webpack
  • Microsoft Azure en Cloud Containerization (Docker)
