About our Team
We are looking for a Mandarin-speaking IT Support Specialist to provide on-site IT support at our client's Security Operations Center (SOC) in Amsterdam. The end-users at the site are predominantly Mandarin-speaking technical staff, and the role requires close hands-on collaboration with them on day-to-day IT needs.
This is a pilot assignment as part of a planned 50-person European IT operations build-out for the same client over the next 12–18 months. Strong performance will lead to ongoing opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd-level IT support to SOC staff at the client site.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot office productivity software (Microsoft Office 365, Adobe, collaboration tools, VPN clients, security agents).
  • Support business application software — issue diagnosis, user-side configuration, escalation handling, and coordination with the application vendors when needed.
  • Provide database-side support — query execution, basic administration, data extraction, and assistance with database-related incidents.
  • Log, track, and resolve incidents through the client's ticketing system, following ITIL service management practices.
  • Coordinate with central IT teams and external vendors for escalations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and configurations.
  • Operate professionally in a security-sensitive environment, with appropriate handling of confidential data and access permissions.

Required skills and experience

  • Minimum 3 years of IT support experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Fluent / native Mandarin Chinese and business-level English.
  • Strong Microsoft Windows administration and Office 365 support skills.
  • Working knowledge of SQL databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle).
  • Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, TopDesk, Jira Service Management, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with ITIL service management framework (Foundation level or above).
  • Ability to work independently, follow structured processes, and prioritize effectively.
  • Professional demeanor suited to working at a client's Security Operations Center.

Preferred (nice to have)

  • Previous experience supporting Chinese-headquartered enterprises in Europe.
  • Previous experience working in a SOC or similar security-oriented IT environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Dutch language skills (not required).
