What is the project about?
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be a key player in driving our platform vision forward. The role will require leadership in team of 4 other software engineers, who each have a strong vision. You feel comfortable in sharing your own ideas and in challenging others.
You’ll design, build, and enhance the tools and infrastructure that enable engineering teams to move faster, more securely, and with greater impact.
This is an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, contribute to an internal open-source culture, and shape the paved paths that make building APIs and services easier across the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Define and evolve the platform’s technical direction alongside your team, aligned with organizational goals.
- Take ownership of architectural decisions, ensuring clarity, scalability, and maintainability.
- Drive platform improvements, enabling teams to follow clearly defined and sustainable “paved roads.”
- Investigate and adopt new tools and technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
- Collaborate across disciplines – work closely with DevOps, architects, and stakeholders to assess and integrate new strategies and trends.
- Proactively identify risks and blockers, and develop effective, scalable solutions.
- Maintain and evolve platform guidelines, keeping them modern, relevant, and easy to follow.
Experience & Technical Skills
- Proven experience in a Lead Engineer or Senior Software Engineer role.
- Strong foundation in:
- Microservices architecture and API design
- Python (plus familiarity with ecosystems like JavaScript, Go, Rust, or Java)
- Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker in Unix/Linux environments
- Monitoring/Observability tools (Elastic, Grafana, Sentry, etc.)
- Solid grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience delivering high-impact solutions across cross-functional teams.
- AWS knowledge/certification, and understanding of security and compliance practices.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills in English – you can explain complex topics simply.
- Empathetic, collaborative, and emotionally intelligent.
- Comfortable taking initiative, working independently, and holding yourself accountable.
- A product mindset – balancing short-term value with long-term platform strategy.
