What is the project about?
As a DevOps Engineer | Platform you will work in a multidisciplinary team of engineers. You will have an important substantive role in designing, building and implementing technological solutions and innovative services on the Security platform. This platform is located and operates in a high-secure environment, the most high secure team of the client (especially government customers). And provides, among other things, services for eHerkenning and their Managed PKI Services.
Responsibilities
- You take the lead in technical refinements with the team and thereby ensure designs of solutions that structurally fit within the landscape of the current platform and the tooling used.
- You take the lead in handling any incidents and set the course to arrive at an adequate solution as quickly as possible.
- You act as a technical sounding board for internal team members within DevOps and jointly maintain technical knowledge.
- Build new capabilities of our security platform together with your fellow system specialists and the DevOps team, you will be given the space to implement creative ideas and solutions.
- Where possible, you provide automation to make connecting new customers and managing the environment easier together with the managed (operational/executive) teams.
- You ensure the operational and functional management of the environment that you have built together with the team, really DevOps, right?
- You will have the opportunity to work with top suppliers on innovative solutions.
Job requirements
- Extensive knowledge & experience of Automated Provisioning/Deployment tools – eg. Ansible (Ansible Automation Platform), Git
- You know your way around UNIX/Linux systems and virtualization platforms (ProxMox) (deployment and management, configuring and running services)
- Experience with RHEL, Debian, CEPH
- CI/CD and common tools in the market: such as GitLab, Jenkins
- Experience with large and complex IT environments
Some other technologies you might work with / Nice to have:
- Containerization and container platforms: Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift
- Experience working with APIs
- Â Various scripting and programming knowledge such as Python, SQL, Bash etc.
