Role
The department is responsible for managing and optimizing In Home Equipment (modems, routers and WiFi points) and therefore for an optimal customer experience. As an automation engineer you are responsible for setting up, managing and developing the Auto Configuration Server and related systems. Think of dashboards, element managers and management tools. You are an important link in the rollout of the Customer Premises Equipment roadmap. You will have a lot of freedom for your own input and the opportunity to work on greenfield projects in the field of commissioning, provisioning and assurance of devices in the customer domain and adjacent access network. You identify and stimulate home connectivity solutions in both hardware and software.

Your duties include:

  • Ensure a stable, scalable and secure platform;
  • Preventing security incidents by looking critically at designs and systems;
  • Answering all questions from project groups about CPE management;
  • Designing, building and rolling out new functionalities;
  • Accessing statistics and logging data;
  • Proactively guarantee the optimal adjustment of customer equipment.

Requirements
As an ACS Application Developer / automation engineer you have a mix of skills from both a full stack developer and a network engineer. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment, where your own input is valued and expected.
This is what you take with you:

  • HBO working and thinking level and approximately 5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Experience with TR 069 / TR 181 and WAN & LAN;
  • Experience with JavaScript or other software engineering languages;
  • You have gained experience within a telecommunications company/ISP and/or CPE equipment;
  • Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases is an advantage;
