What is the project about?

Are you a Data Engineer looking to further develop yourself? At our company, we are searching for a Data Engineer who wants to boost their career. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to develop yourself both personally and professionally. You’ll tackle challenging assignments and become part of a group of specialists with whom you can share knowledge and experience.

You’ll work on challenging assignments for our clients, ranging from small to top 200 companies. Think of well-known companies such as Robeco, Engie, Suitsupply, Fugro, ING, PostNL, KLM, Rituals, APG, Ordina, and BAM. We also collaborate with hospitals, municipalities, and/or government agencies. Together, we’ll find the best match in your region. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to work on (internal) projects with other Engineers and mentor our trainees.

Responsibilities

In the role of Data Engineer, you’ll be responsible for connecting, organizing, and unlocking data. It’s crucial that you process all data in a way that the organization can effectively utilize it. You’ll work on complex and challenging data issues in various fields and sectors. Here are some of your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Managing, collecting, and processing data.
  • Identifying trends in datasets and developing algorithms.
  • Designing and developing APIs to enhance data usability in collaboration with Business & IT.
  • Ensuring data and data flows’ integrity.
  • Combining different datasets.
  • Evaluating, splitting, and cleaning datasets.
  • Determining how data should be stored and used for analysis.

It’s important that you effectively maintain the quality of all data by standardizing processes and systems as much as possible. Additionally, you’ll assist the team and colleagues in applying your best practices.

Job requirements

In addition to your passion for Data Engineering and the drive to stay up-to-date with the latest innovations, we ask the following from you:

  • A completed HBO or WO degree and at least two years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with Microsoft Data Platform within Azure and building data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of one or more tools: SQL, No-SQL, XML, Python/R, API, and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Familiarity with developing and maintaining data extractions and connections between databases and Azure Services or third-party solutions.
  • You’re communicative and able to collaborate well in project teams.
  • Proficiency in Dutch is a must.
