General Information

What is the project about?
The team is tasked to remediate historical default data which is used for regulatory and non-regulatory WB credit risk models.¬†The candidate will be working in project team environment with highly experienced professionals and conducts in depth analysis on NPLs. The¬†team is split into several streams covering WB Rating Systems ‚Äď Large Corporate, Financial Institutions, Trade Commodity Finance, Commercial Property Finance and Object Finance.
You will be working in one of these streams focusing on 1) Default registration remediation; 2) LGD Data remediation. The team works closely with several main stakeholders such as Data Analysts, Credit Risk Modelers, Delegated Model Owners, Credit Risk Restructuring Units and Strategic Portfolio Management.
You will to perform historical default data analysis, data collection, and data enhancement for the wholesale banking portfolios as mentioned above.

Responsibilities: Remediation

  • Collect Historical Default Data: Gather historical default data related to Large Corporate loans, enabling data-driven analysis and remediation efforts.
  • Credit Data Analysis: Analyze credit data and financial statements to identify key default events that are relevant for the redevelopment of internal advanced risk models, including Exposure at Default (EAD), Probability of Default (PD), and Loss Given Default (LGD).
  • Customer File Review: Review individual customer files to identify default events accurately. Apply the latest banking regulations, including new definitions of default and forbearance, to historical data to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Must haves

  • Bachelor‚Äôs degree in finance, Economics, or a related field; master‚Äôs degree preferred.
  • Knowledge in both front office banking processes as well as the restructuring and refinancing processes and cashflow and transactions of separate loans/facilities processes is a must.
  • Proven experience in credit risk analysis within the banking or financial services industry, particularly with Large Corporate clients.
  • Experience with Default Risk models¬†(EAD, PD and LGD) and with Non Performing Loans
  • Experience with Definition of Default (DoD)
  • Able to understand and reconcile transactions (actual account statement and GL-entries
  • Knowledge of collateral processes within banks
